“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13
The gospel brings true and lasting change into our lives. John speaks of a change of position; we are no longer objects of wrath (Ephesians 2:3-4), but now we are children of God. This change of position births a change of outward actions. We see this in the shepherds of Luke 2 who found Jesus and left praising, worshiping, and telling others.
