“All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’— which means, God with us.” Matthew 1:22-23
Jesus wasn’t only with God in the time before time, but Jesus IS God. In John we read that the Word (Jesus) was and is God. His birth was announced by an angel to the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:31-35) and to her fiancé Joseph (Matthew 1:18-25). Thus fulfilling God’s promise given long ago “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (meaning God is with us).” Isaiah 7:14.
No one is ever alone. The Christmas season promises us that God Himself is dwelling with us; that He is and will always be with you.
